Privacy Policy for Palettle
Last updated: October 11, 2026
1. Introduction
Gndsoft LLC ("Gndsoft," "we," "our," or "us") publishes Palettle under the Gndplay label. This Privacy Policy explains what information is handled when you play Palettle on iOS or Android (the "Game"), why, and the choices you have.
Palettle does not require a Gndplay account. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone, or precise location.
2. Information We Handle
Game data stored on your device
Your progress — such as completed levels, coins, hints and other in-game items, daily puzzle results and streaks, and settings — is saved on your device. We do not receive this data during normal play. Your platform provider may include it in a device or cloud backup depending on your settings.
Analytics
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the Game is played and to improve level design and reliability. It may collect gameplay events (for example, levels started and cleared), app and device information (model, operating system, language), an app-instance identifier, and approximate location inferred from your IP address.
Crash reports and diagnostics
We use Firebase Crashlytics to detect and fix crashes. When the Game crashes or hits a serious error, a report may be sent containing technical details such as the stack trace, device model, operating system version, app version, and an installation identifier. Crash reports do not include your game save.
Advertising
The Game shows ads through Google AdMob, including optional rewarded ads you choose to watch in exchange for in-game help. Google and its advertising partners may process your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA, where permitted), IP address, approximate location, ad interactions, and technical device information to deliver, measure, and prevent fraud in ads, and — where you allow it — to personalize ads.
Leaderboards (Game Center and Google Play Games)
On iOS the Game uses Apple Game Center, and on Android it uses Google Play Games Services, for leaderboards. When the Game starts, it tries to sign you in with the gaming account already on your device. If you are signed in, the Game sends your leaderboard scores — such as total stars, levels cleared, and best streak — to Apple or Google, linked to your Game Center or Play Games player ID.
Your player name (nickname), avatar, and scores may be visible to other players on leaderboards, according to your Game Center or Play Games profile and visibility settings. Apple and Google process this information under their own privacy policies. We do not use your gaming account to identify you or for advertising, and we do not receive your email address or other account details from it.
Sharing your results
When you tap Share, the Game copies a short, spoiler-free text summary to your clipboard and opens your device's share sheet. Where it goes is your choice; we do not receive the text or learn who you share it with.
3. How We Use Information
- To run the Game, save your progress, and provide its features.
- To find and fix bugs, crashes, and performance problems.
- To understand which levels and features work well so we can improve the Game.
- To show leaderboards and let you compare scores with other players.
- To show ads, including rewarded ads you choose to watch, and measure them.
- To comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect players, Gndsoft, and others.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to train AI models.
4. Service Providers
Information is processed by these providers on our behalf or as independent controllers under their own policies:
- Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics) — firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google AdMob and its ad partners — How Google uses information from apps
- Apple Game Center (leaderboards on iOS) — apple.com/legal/privacy
- Google Play Games Services (leaderboards on Android) — policies.google.com/privacy
- Apple App Store and Google Play for distribution.
- Professional advisers or authorities when reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect rights and safety.
5. Consent and Your Choices
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another region that requires it, the Game asks for your consent through Google's consent message before personalized ads are used. To change your choice later, contact us or reinstall the Game to see the consent message again. On iOS, the Game can access the advertising identifier only if you allow tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt; you can change this in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. If you decline, you may still see ads, but they will be less relevant.
Leaderboards are optional. You can play without signing in to Game Center or Google Play Games: on iOS, sign out under Settings → Game Center; on Android, decline or sign out in the Google Play Games app. Profile visibility and nickname are managed in those settings. To remove scores already submitted, use Apple's or Google's account and data tools, or contact us and we will help.
You can remove all game data stored on your device by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the Game. Device and cloud backups are controlled by your platform settings.
6. Retention and Security
On-device data stays until you delete it or uninstall the Game. Analytics and crash data are retained by Google according to our Firebase settings and Google's policies (analytics data is kept for no longer than 14 months). Ad providers, Apple, and Google retain data under their own policies, including leaderboard scores.
Data sent by the Game is encrypted in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we use reasonable safeguards. Providers may process information in countries other than where you live, subject to appropriate safeguards required by law.
7. Legal Bases (EEA and UK)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interests to operate, secure, and improve the Game (analytics and crash reporting), and on your consent for personalized advertising and where consent is otherwise required. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing.
8. Children
Palettle is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or California law), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of targeted advertising. We do not discriminate against you for using these rights. Because Palettle has no accounts, we may need an identifier (such as the app-instance ID) to find records relating to you. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. Changes and Contact
We may update this policy when the Game, our practices, or the law changes. We will update the date above and give additional notice where required. For questions or privacy requests, contact Gndsoft LLC at [email protected].
